Here’s a trend that’ll shock you when you see it on the streets: plenty of designers showed sheer and lacy items (many lingerie-inspired) on the runway that left nothing to the imagination. From Christian Dior to Vera Wang, models strutted out covered in wispy fabric that gave just a hint of mystery. But these looks were not entirely overtly sexy – nothing skintight, nothing tasteless; there’s a certain level of class achieved through layers and delicate draping that give a floaty look instead. But still – directions: use sparingly.
